May 18th Races are a Go!!!

IMCA points racing at the OffRoad Speedway will resume tonight. 5 classes will be running. Late Models, Sport Mods, Stock Cars , Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. We are being told there will be some new cars at OffRoad tonight because of rainouts elsewhere. Good car count is expected with this good (finally) weather. Briggs and Barrett Project

The Briggs and Barrett Project will be at the races May 18th. Visit their table on the upper concourse Saturday to get information on their mission to help newborns and their parents. They will also be selling tickets for a raffle. Numerous items will be raffled off, including a Go-Cart, Race tickets and Scott’s Smoke Shack meals. May 11th Races are Canceled

The races for tonight are canceled due to rain and the forecast of more to come. Last weeks pit passes and general admission tickets will be honored next week. The track was set up pretty good and would have taken a little rain. Pits would not have due to the silt left behind because of the flood.

A Note from the Promoter

There was a chance the Tri-State late models were going to try it again this weekend(may 11th). But, not enough were planning on coming back to the OffRoad Speedway. So, this weekend we will be going back to the planned Regular Race Night as scheduled. IMCA point racing for local, state and national points in our five regular classes. A note from the Promoter

Don’t forget, this Saturday night Tri-State late models from South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska will come to Norfolk to race against the locals. Should be a great night 4 late model racing. April 27th Race postponed

The Tri-State Late Model night at the OffRoad Speedway has been postponed (due to weather) to next Saturday, May 4th. Coming up in the month of May, the OffRoad Speedway will be giving free admission to the Grandstand. Regular admission for those 7-15 years old is $6. Please share this news.

OffRoad Speedway 2019 new hours

A reminder to everyone that this years race schedule has changed. Hot laps start at 6:15 with racing starting at 7:00. Pit gates open at 3:30. Check in cutoff is 6:15. If running late to the track, please call ahead (on Saturdays only) to Robyn at 402-841-2378. This year at the OffRoad Speedway we will be adding two motorsports traditions. April 20th Season Opener notes

Going into this weekend it would help greatly if drivers had their IMCA and transponder number ready at checkin.  Last chance to preregister will be friday at 3:00pm. This will also speed up the process. A reminder for this season is that checks from the previous night will not be used to pay for the current night.  We got some much needed help tonight to move the bleachers back in place. Thanks to everyone who helped.

Bad news and good news

First, the bad news. Practice at the OffRoad Speedway is canceled. April 20th will be opening night for the 2019 season. More details about opening night and race procedures will be posted later. Good news for those wanting to get some practice in before the season. Bobby Lincoln posted earlier today that U.S. 30 Speedway will be practicing tomorrow, April 13th.
