    A Note From the Promoter

    A Note From the Promoter

The weather for the May 21st race night doesn't look good. So the races for this weekend will be canceled, but....next weekend should be awesome. The OffRoad Speedway will be hosting a Non Winged Sprint Car Special. In addition to the Sprints, we will be offering a double show of racing. To make up for the May 21st night....we will be running 2 complete shows. And yes, this will be for local, state and national IMCA points.
The first show will be at 4:30pm. With hotlaps, heats and Features. The 2nd show will follow with the scheduled Wingless Sprint Cars along with the OffRoad Speedway's regular classes of Late Models, Hobbys, Stock Cars and Sport Mods.
The OffRoad Speedway is well aware of the costs of racing and hopefully this is one way of helping out the racers. They only need to pull to the races one time for the benefit of racing for double races and therefore double the points. There are some logistical things that need to be taken care of...like entering for both shows, what happens if you can't make the 2nd one and we will work out the details this next week. Pit pass costs will be adjusted because of trying to double up on the races. As we figure everything out it will be posted.
For anyone worrying about the track prep. Yes, the track prep crew will also work double duty. After the first show is over, they will prepare the track to get ready for the next show. This will probably entail discing, grading, watering and packing. Hopefully this doesn't take to long but we need to make sure the 2nd show gets everything it is entitled to.
The cost for fans in the grandstand will be different as we are combining a regular race night with a special race night to make a double show. The General Admittance will need to be adjusted but it should be something to make it a great deal to attend the races. Kids race car rides will be postponed to a later date.
