A Note from the Promoter
The 1st race night of 2023 is in the books. There was a snafu with the internet, which we count on for scoring through MyRacePass. Internet went down in multiple towns but we managed with talented Ladies who handscored the last A-Feature.
Looking ahead to this weekend, the weather may be a factor. Any changes will be posted on OffRoad’s Facebook and website. It will be done as soon as we know.
Please be mindful of the OffRoad Speedway’s earlier start in the Month of April. We will be starting hot laps at 5 and racing around 5:45 to 6:00.
Again this year, we will be having Trophy Kids where names are drawn to select those kids that will present drivers with their A-Feature winning trophy. Kids also go home with a trophy and this has been very popular with them. Starting out the season we have several Trophy Sponsors I would like to thank in advance. Window World, Tastee Treet, Southside Salvage, Scott’s Smoke Shack and Vollbrecht Racing. If interested in being a Trophy Sponsor please let me know.
Also, I want to put it out there that this is one of those years we can have races on July 3rd. With that night we want to put on a good Fireworks show. Fireworks has gone up in price significantly, and we are looking for Sponsors to help with that show. Let me know.
Don’t forget to get your “big” split the pot tickets to help pay the purse for the World of Outlaws Late Model show in June. Promises to be a pretty large pot. Also, tickets for the World of Outlaws are sold online as is the XR Racing in July.
The cost of programs have gone up and we will not be able to make them like we have been doing. We are exploring options like making a 4 page program showing results, standings, sponsors. May have to cut out a few things. Another option is putting the program on our website and letting anyone to see them or download. We will work it out as we go forward.
