It's Race Day at OffRoad Speedway. Mother Nature didn't help many tracks around the 3 state area. But...the OffRoad Speedway was the beneficiary of timely rains this week. Because of the many rainouts, I have decided to increase the purse in all classes. $400.00 to win the Hobby's with 27 cars or more. Last week had 25 so, real close. I have other news, but first, the races scheduled for April 30th at the OffRoad speedway are canceled due to weather. As we get into the 2nd month of the the race season, and hopefully better weather, I would like to point out a few things of interest. First off I would like to announce the April 16th races at the OffRoad Speedway will be canceled. Looks like the temps will be in the 40s by race time and continue to drop. Also taking in to consideration is the fact that it is Easter weekend. This is why we are calling it early so everyone can make their Easter plans. The Stock Car Crown Summer Series will be coming to Norfolk. This will be the 2nd stop(of 9 scheduled events) this Saturday, April 9th at the OffRoad Speedway. The 2022 opener was at Beatrice Speedway on March 19th with 44 Stock Cars(representing 5 states) competing to grab the early lead in the series. The 2022 race season is fast approaching and there are a few things to note as we get started. Robin wanted everyone to know that it sure would help if registrations are filled out. The 2022 season for racing at the OffRoad Speedway is around the corner. I have put together a tentative schedule so everyone has a heads up on the dates. The Bob Haase Memorial featuring SLMR will be starting one hour earlier than scheduled. Hot Laps at 5:15 and Races starting at 6pm. Pits and General admission times will also be an hour earlier. The tradition of the Haase Memorial is the great quarter giveaway for the kids at intermission. Also the Wetzel and Truex jewelry giveaway registrations that has been going on all season will end at intermission and a winner will be drawn tonight. We are finishing up a great season at the OffRoad Speedway with the Bob Haase Memorial this Saturday. The traditional features of the Bob Haase Memorial are the SLMR and quarter toss for the kids and this year will be no different. I will be adding another one that some may find interesting.
